INDIANAPOLIS — Ahead of the final weekend of the 2024 Indiana State Fair, organizers are announcing the three favorite food options among the new entries.
As voted by the public, here are the winners of the 2024 "Taste of the Fair," presented by Pepsi:
- First place: Fried Sugar Biscuit n'BBQ with Apple Butter Sauce (Nitro Hog BBQ)
- Second place: Sweet Tea Slushy (Colp's Concessions)
- Third place: Blueberry Cheesecake Stuffed Elephant Ear (The Bakerman)
The top three winners are taking home cash prizes, along with their titles. In addition, the World Food Championships will award the top three winners a Golden Ticket entry to the World Food Championships event taking place in Indianapolis this fall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The Indiana State Fair goes through Sunday, Aug. 18.
The fair has brought back its unaccompanied minor policy, meaning after 6 p.m., anyone under 18 needs to be with someone over 21.
"We will be taking their IDs and checking IDs for our matters" said Leroy Lewis III, a communications representative for the Indiana State Fair.
Free with fair admission, fairgoers can see a concert every night of the Indiana State Fair at the Hoosier Lottery Free Stage. Here are the performers for the final three days:
- Friday, Aug. 16: Country singer Gary Allan
- Saturday, Aug. 17: Rock guitarist and singer Lita Ford
- Sunday, Aug. 18: The Gospel Music Festival, featuring singer Yolanda Adams
Fairgoers can expect typical fair favorites like ears of corn, chicken legs and elephant ears, but there are 43 new food options this year. Click here for more information on each of those.
