INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Zoo made an exciting announcement Tuesday — the addition of a new friend!
Ember, a 43-year-old female orangutan, is making her way to the Simon Skjodt International Orangutan Center from the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.
With Ember, the Indy zoo now has 11 orangutans.
In her first day at the zoo, she explored the main yard of the center and even climbed one of the towers leading to the Hutan Trail.
