'Curb Your Enthusiasm' breakout star JB Smoove previews hosting duties for Prime Video game show 'Buy It Now'

The first three episodes of "Buy It Now" begin streaming Wednesday, Oct. 30 on Prime Video.

INDIANAPOLIS — There's a fun, new game show coming to Prime Video.

Hosted by Emmy-winning actor and comedian JB Smoove ("Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Mapleworth Murders"), "Buy It Now" gives entrepreneurs 90 seconds to pitch their product to an audience of potential customers, known as "The 100." If The 100 likes the product and price, the entrepreneurs then go to a panel of Amazon executives and celebrity entrepreneurs, who will select which products join Amazon's exclusive Buy It Now Store. Each episode, one entrepreneur will also win $20,000.

"This is an amazing opportunity for some amazing and innovative entrepreneurs to be seen in front of millions of people," Smoove said. "I'm now a part of their journey. It's up to me to make them comfortable, to get them ready to go, to motivate them. I say, 'handle your business.'"

The rotating panel of celebrity entrepreneurs include Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow ("Shakespeare in Love," "Iron Man"); Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Anthony Anderson ("Black-ish," "Hustle & Flow"), vegan food influencer Tabitha Brown; former professional skateboarder Tony Hawk and fashion designer Christian Siriano.

"We get a chance to connect in a different way because we are all in the same business. We are in a happy business. We are in the happy business, and you need people who believe in people," Smoove said. "These amazing celebrity judges, along with one Amazon executive, the purpose is to make – not just great TV – great entrepreneurs out of this. That keeps business going. It keeps opportunities for people to work."

And if you're wondering, the Buy It Now Store will launch in tandem with the game show's premiere. It will be accessible to customers through a scannable QR code featured in each episode, by searching Buy It Now on Amazon's website or by clicking on easy-to-discover links from the Buy It Now page in the Prime Video mobile app.

"Everyone should make it in the Buy It Now Store, but everybody doesn't make it in there, and that's what makes it so exciting. It doesn't stop their journey. It's just a no right now, not a no forever. It's a no today, not a no tomorrow," Smoove said. "We don't know what your journey's gonna be, but we want to create an even platform and have your product seen, and that's worth the battle alone."

The first three episodes of "Buy It Now" begin streaming Wednesday, Oct. 30 on Prime Video, followed by weekly releases as part of Prime Video's "Winning Wednesdays" programming.
