INDIANAPOLIS — Grammy-winning producer and rapper Swizz Beatz is visiting car-loving destinations around the world with his son, Nasir Dean, in the Hulu docuseries, "Drive with Swizz Beatz."
"We had the most phenomenal time ever. We just did the unexpected," Dean said. "You'll never not be surprised. You'll always be on your toes."
The father and son checked out distinctive car culture and brought two otherwise disparate car clubs together over a shared love of all-things automotive.
"We wanted to keep it close to home, so we did New York, L.A., Houston and Atlanta," Swizz Beatz said. "Then, we wanted people to also know that we were thinking global, so we went to Saudi Arabia and Japan."
And like most millennials or Gen Zers, Dean wasn't taught how to drive a stick shift in driving school.
"I can still smell the clutch," Swizz Beatz said of his son learning to drive a manual car during filming.
And as a car collector and driver herself, there's a chance Swizz Beatz's wife, 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys, could appear in future episodes.
"I don't think we could afford her," Swizz Beatz jokingly said. "For a second season, we want to go bigger, badder, further and faster."
All six episodes of "Drive with Swizz Beatz" begin streaming Thursday, Nov. 16 on Hulu.
