INDIANAPOLIS — Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Sandi Patty will host the AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration one more time.
The performances Dec. 6 through Dec. 23 will be Patty's 10th and final time hosting the celebration with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at the Hilbert Circle Theatre in downtown Indianapolis.
The former Anderson, Indiana resident is the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music history. She has earned 40 Dove Awards, five Grammy Awards, was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004 and was named an Indiana Living Legend in 2007.
She has released more than 30 albums in her career, which have resulted in three platinum and five gold records, while selling 11 million units. She has sung the national anthem before six Indianapolis 500 races, most recently in 2013.
"I am beyond thrilled, excited and honored to be with the ISO, my favorite Maestro Jack Everly, and to be the host of AES Indiana Yuletide Celebration this year," Patty said. "It has been a highlight of my entire career to serve as host for this incredible holiday experience."
Patty first hosted the Yuletide Celebration in 2000.
Everly will serve as music director, and more special guests for the event will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the concert go on sale at 11 a.m. on Aug. 20, 2024. Those who buy a subscription to the 2024-25 ISO season or donate $500 to the symphony will have access to the ticket presale.
