NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Chart-topping pop singer Meghan Trainor is gearing up for The Timeless Tour, with a stop planned at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville on Friday, Oct. 4.
"This is gonna be an hour-and-a-half-long show of hits and fun, upbeat good times," Trainor said. "Right in the middle, there's a slow section that is barely slow, but I promise, it'll be pumping. We will be dancing."
Tickets are still available, with lawn seats starting at $41.30.
In June 2014, Trainor released her first single, "All About That Bass," which quickly went viral and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"It's wild. I think I'm aging backwards, and I have two beautiful children, and I have the best husband in the world. I have the best team," Trainor said on her decade-long career. "I think the reason I'm still here is because of my incredible fans are still showing up for me – I love you so much – and my incredible team and family."
Opening the Noblesville show will be musician Ryan Trainor – Meghan's brother – and rapper Paul Russell, whose song "Lil Boo Thing" reached the top 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Paul Russell is the nicest, sweetest guy ever, and he is such a hard worker," Trainor said. "His music is so happy, and it reminds me of my songs — you get that old school feel, but it's modern and makes you want to dance."
And for those who don't know, Trainor is married to actor Daryl Sabara, best known for playing Juni Cortez in four "Spy Kids" films. They are parents to a 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old boy.
"They're all coming on the road with us," Trainor said of her family. "We have a special VIP ticket you can get where me and my older brother and (Daryl) are going to do an episode of our podcast, 'Workin' On It.' We'll just do Q&As with whoever showed up."
Trainor confirmed audiences can expect to hear her popular songs, like "Me Too," "Made You Look" and "Lips Are Movin," as well as songs from her new album, "Timeless."
"Make sure you wear comfortable shoes to the shows. Please, please, please. Wear your sneakers because we're gonna be dancing," Trainor said.
