Popular comedian Matt Rife adds stop in Indianapolis to world tour

INDIANAPOLIS — Popular comedian and actor Matt Rife is coming to Indianapolis!

Rife announced Monday that he is adding a show on Friday, Dec. 6 to his "ProbleMATTic World Tour" at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets will be available starting with presales on Tuesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of general on-sale starting Friday, Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. online here

Rife was scheduled to perform at the IU Auditorium at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. May 29, 2024, but canceled the show shortly after for a medical emergency

The Bloomington shows were originally scheduled for Feb. 14, 2024. Rife announced that schedule change two days before the show.

The Ohio native got his start as a cast member of MTV’s "Wild ‘N Out." But now, his stardom is heavily indebted to social media, where he's built up a huge fan base of 19 million followers on TikTok and nearly 3 million subscribers on YouTube. His TikTok videos have generated more than 427 million likes. 

He is also known for his Netflix stand-up special "Matt Rife: Natural Selection" and his self-produced comedy specials "Only Fans" and "Matthew Steven Rife."

According to event officials, his "ProbleMATTic World Tour" sold over 600,000 tickets in under 48 hours to become one of the largest comedy tours in more than 20 years.
