These bands will rock IMS for Carb Day May 24

Tickets include the May 24 concert and final practice for the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

SPEEDWAY, Ind. — Get one bourbon, one scotch and one beer ready for Carb Day!

IMS announced Tuesday that George Thorogood & The Destroyers will headline the Miller Lite Carb Day Concert at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday, May 24. Gin Blossoms will open the show.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers have been rocking for more than 50 years, selling over 15 million albums and performing more than 8,000 concerts since they began. In addition to "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer," the group released songs including "Bad To The Bone," "I Drink Alone" and "Who Do You Love?"

Gin Blossoms broke through in 1992 with the album "New Miserable Experience," which has gone platinum five times, featuring hit songs including "Until I Fall Away," "Found Out About You," "Hey Jealousy" and "Allison Road."

Indianapolis recording artist Kid Quill, known for his hybrid sound of hip-hop, pop and alternative, will open the show at 2 p.m. when gates open.

Ticket prices for Carb Day start at $45 for general admission. There is also a limited supply of general admission tickets that include a concert pit package for $75 and exclusive VIP platform tickets for $275. Ticket prices will increase closer to the May 24 concert.

Carb Day tickets include access to both the concert and the on-track activities during the last practice before the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 26, including the IndyCar Pit Stop Challenge.
