The Shops at Perry Crossing hosting fall festival

From a circus to international cuisine, the celebration has something for everyone.

PLAINFIELD, Ind. — One local business center announced Tuesday it will be celebrating the fall season with a packed lineup of family events like fun competitions and even a circus!

The Shops at Perry Crossing released its schedule of fall activities and is excited to bring people of all ages together to celebrate.

"We’re committed to providing a safe and welcoming space where families can come together to celebrate the season," said Mandy Bishop, marketing manager for The Shops at Perry Crossing. "From unique fall experiences to our great shopping and dining options, we invite our community out to make The Shops at Perry Crossing their go-to destination for all things fall this upcoming season."

Here's the full schedule:

  • Venardos Circus - Sept. 5-15
    • The circus features world-class, animal-free acts in a Broadway musical style. Three different types of tickets are being offered for the circus. 
  • Splash Pad Party for Dogs - Sept. 8, 1-3 p.m.
    • The Town Square's splash pad is hosting an end-of-season dog party where families can enjoy music from a local DJ, dog toys and fun in the water.
  • Foam Happy Party - Sept. 21, 1-4 p.m.
    • The Town Square is also hosting a foam party that families can attend for some music and fun. Parents must attend to sign a waiver and stay to supervise.
  • Dumpling Festival - Sept. 21, 12-4 p.m.
    • The Philippine Cultural Community Center is helping host a dumpling festival! Admission is free, but some food may only be available for purchase.
  • Hendricks County International Festival - Oct. 5, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    • Local exhibitors, performances and cuisines from around the world are coming to the international festival Saturday. The free and educational event is open to the public for all ages.
  • Smiley Morning Show Annual Pumpkin Drop - Oct. 24, 6-10 a.m.
    • The event will feature a 700-pound pumpkin hoisted in the sky to fall in the parking lot. Visitors can expect lots of things from the event like bounce houses, balloon twisting, hot drinks from local food trucks and entertainment.

While the celebration comes around once a year, a fire pit is open for visitors all season long.
