GREENWOOD, Ind. — Update: The Greenwood Freedom Festival's parade was canceled due to severe weather.
Looking for something to do this weekend? Well, look no further! Greenwood is celebrating its annual Freedom Festival on Saturday, June 29.
The event is Greenwood’s largest festival and draws in more than 50,000 people, according to event officials.
Festivities will kick off at 4 p.m. at Craig Park with the festival parade. The parade starts at the staging area on Madison Avenue and ends on Meridian Street.
The festival will also host nearly 30 food vendors, four beer and wine vendors, and numerous community booths.
This year’s live entertainment includes two local bands: The Big 80s and The Flying Toasters.
Following performances on the Event Lawn Stage, musical fireworks will be presented by K.O.R.N Country 100.3 to finish the celebrations.
The Kid Zone will be returning this year. Attendees can enjoy various inflatables, face painting and other family-favorite activities. You can purchase all-day use access of the inflatables for $10 per person, or you can buy individual tickets.
