VIENNA, Austria — We're hearing from disappointed Hoosiers in Austria after suspicions of a terrorist attack plan led to the cancellation of three Taylor Swift concerts.
Federal and state police in Austria just arrested two men in connection to the alleged plot. Investigators say the men were planning to attack major events in Vienna, and that may have included those Swift shows.
Swift was scheduled to perform in Vienna Aug. 8-10. 13News talked to Caitlin Rogo, a Swift fan from Carmel who is in Austria now. She said fans are looking for ways to meet up without the concert, but police say there are still terrorism concerns.
"Unfortunately, they're telling us to stay away from everyone. I know a lot of people are trying to organize singalongs and karaoke things, and I don't know, just a lot of fun things to keep the momentum alive and everything," Rogo said.
Rogo said this was her third time trying to see the singer where something's gotten in the way.
People with tickets got an email saying they'll receive a refund.
So far, Swift hasn't commented about the cancellations.
Swift was scheduled to perform in Vienna Thursday through Saturday before taking the Eras Tour to London for five shows in Wembley Stadium to wrap up the European leg of the tour.
The tour continues with shows across Canada before returning to the United States in October.
Swift announced the Eras Tour, which started in Arizona in March 2023, would wrap up its U.S. dates with three shows at Lucas Oil Stadium Nov. 1-3, 2024.
