Chase Houle joined the WTHR 13News team in September 2023 as a reporter.
He comes from Rochester, NY, where he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor. While in the Flower City, he spoke to many family and friends impacted by the record high crime the city faced, along with it’s housing crisis. He also traveled to Buffalo, NY, where he covered the mass shooting at a Top’s Supermarket in the city and the deadly blizzard that dumped several feet of snow that killed over 40 people.
Before heading East, Chase worked as a statewide reporter and weekend anchor in Champaign, IL, where he earned a Silver Dome Award for a story he did on how to protect your home from being broken into with a three-inch screw (it really works). He also covered the disappearance of an ISU graduate extensively and was the first to interview his family, launching it into the national spotlight.
Chase was born and raised in Peoria, IL, before he made his way up to Chicago where he studied Broadcast Journalism in Television and graduated with his bachelor’s degree. While in Chicago, he interned at ABC 7 and worked as a personal clothing stylist.
When he isn’t at work, you can find him eating his way through the area with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon in hand and his dog Letty’s leash in the other.
