INDIANAPOLIS — Our Dave Calabro spends many of his Thursdays chasing good news.
This week, he's at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
It's a tradition that goes back 69 years.
"This thing is massive!" Dave said, checking out a travel trailer. "How big is it?"
"It's technically two bedrooms," a vendor said. "You have a full bedroom in the back with a queen size bed and everything like that, then you have an almost second floor. There's two loft areas up there."
"What are you looking for?" Dave asked one shopper.
"We want a big boat," he replied.
"Wait a minute! You're in a market for a big boat? You realize you're the luckiest kids on the planet?" Dave said, directing his attention to the rest of the family. "Your dad's looking for a big boat. Do all your chores, right? Make sure you do all your chores. Listen to mom and dad, right?"
"Yep!" the kids replied in unison.
The Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show continues through Feb. 25. It's open Friday noon to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. Click here for ticket information.
