Indianapolis - Former national recording artist Henry Lee Summer was shocked with a Taser and arrested after his SUV struck vehicles and reportedly one residence in a mobile home court.
The 51-year-old singer was released on his own recognizance Friday after being charged with three misdemeanors: operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and failing to stop after an accident.
Summer's web site posted a statement saying he had taken two Ambien sleeping pills and did not resist officers.
Summer had two top-20 hits in the late 1980s with "Hey Baby" and "I Wish I Had a Girl (Who Walked Like That)."
