Strong non-thunderstorm gusts continue to impact Central Indiana and many places have had gusts at/above 45mph.
Peak gusts on the WTHR WeatherBug network were 55mph in Sharpsville and 50mph in Carmel. A Wind Advisory continues for a good chunk of Central Indiana until 7pm.
The windy, warm day comes courtesy of a storm center that's triggering severe storms in Iowa/NW Illiniois. A tight pressure gradient around its center gradually relaxes overnight as the storm center moves to the north.
Spotty showers and storms are possible tonight, Thursday morning and again Thursday afternoon. Greater storm chances arrive Friday afternoon and lingering into Sunday afternoon. Though it won't rain/storm non-stop... we're expecting bouts of heavy storms that will impact qualifying at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Summer warmth gives way to a much cooler pattern next week with several days likely in the 60s for highs.
