INDIANAPOLIS — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect this morning for much of Indiana. Here in the metro area, we have had mainly rain, and most main roads are simply wet. However, due to the cold ground, some sidewalks, side streets and parking lots could have slick spots.
A glaze is certainly possible this morning in the central part of the state. As temperatures rise and the rain gradually ends, we will see fog break out around the area. We will rise to 40 this afternoon (average high is 36), but fog will cover much of the state by the evening rush hour. Some visibility readings will be below one mile.
Rain is going to be with us on and off into the weekend. Temperatures will climb into the 50s tomorrow and Thursday and stay in the 40s through Sunday.
Fog will also be part of our forecast for several days as well as winds die down and the warmer, moister air tries to rise.
