INDIANAPOLIS — A man had minor injuries after crashing his car into a Fountain Square restaurant Wednesday afternoon.
Police responded to a report of a structure collapse around 2:45 p.m. May 29 in the 1100 block of Prospect Street, near East Morris and Shelby streets.
Officers arrived and found a car had crashed into Revolucion.
According to police, the man said he was at the stoplight when his foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas, causing him to crash into the building.
Police said medics took the man to a hospital with minor injuries.
13News spoke with the owner of the restaurant, which was closed at the time of the incident. The owner said there were two workers inside when the crash happened – one person in the kitchen and the other at the back of the restaurant – and neither of them were injured.
