ANDERSON, Ind. — A woman is dead after a crash involving a City of Anderson truck Wednesday afternoon.
Anderson police said the woman was riding a bike when she was hit near the intersection of West 19th Street and Madison Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 23.
Police identified the woman killed as 38-year-old Christine Barton.
According to police, it appears Barton was eastbound on 19th Street when she went to cross Madison Avenue. While crossing, she collided with the Anderson city vehicle.
"All parties involved are fully cooperating with the investigation," Anderson police said in a statement.
The crash remains under investigation, and any witnesses should contact Sgt. Nick Durr at 765-648-6660.
