Indianapolis - Police detectives are investigating a hammer attack that killed an Indianapolis woman.
On Monday night, officers were called to the 3600 block of North Keystone Avenue where they found a woman suffering from head wounds. Officers think the woman was attacked with a claw hammer.
Det. David Labanauskas of IPD told Eyewitness News that officers found the woman in the front yard suffering from severe trauma. She was taken to the hospital, where she died.
Detectives think the woman's boyfriend, 36-year-old LaShawn Long, may have been the one who attacked her. He was taken into custody Tuesday morning.
