A Rhode Island woman is being treated for possible rabies exposure after being bitten by a coyote Sunday.
Patti Elderkin says the coyote approached her and bit her leg while she was walking her pugs. She fell to the ground and the coyote continued to bite her other leg.
Police shot and killed a coyote at the apartment complex on Monday and the Health Department believes they got the right coyote, but they can not be certain.
