LONG ISLAND, Ny. (WTHR) — There's a serious baby boom happening at a hospital in New York.
NYU Winthrop Hospital has 15 nurses who are pregnant at the same time, all of whom work in the labor, delivery and NICU units.
"Are we drinking something?!" Katelyn O'Connor told NBC New York. "We're all really, really lucky!"
So far, the count is two boys, six girls and the rest are surprises.
All of the nurses told NBC New York that they plan to work up until they deliver.
This type of baby boom isn't a first occurrence. Last month, Maine Medical Center announced that nine of its nurses were also pregnant. Then, seven firefighter wives at one North Carolina station were pregnant, too.
But so far, the NYU nurses take the cake.
