Indianapolis - Hoosiers who wake up with WIBC will hear a new voice in the morning, starting next week.
Long-time Morning radio host Jeff Pigeon announced his retirement at the end of Friday's show. His last day is Monday.
After almost 20 years on the program, Pigeon says it's time for new challenges.
"I'm not retiring, okay, but it's time to pull back a little bit. I've been doing this for such a long time. You want to be challenged. You won't want to wear out your welcome you don't want to become complacent and after 27 years at this radio station, Anne, that's half of my life," he said.
Pigeon says his departure is the result of a joint decision by him and WIBC. He's not saying what he plans to do next.
