INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Metro police are looking for suspects in a shooting that left one person dead.
Officers were called to 34th St. & Forest Manor Ave. at about 6:25 Tuesday evening.
Police found a person suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
It happened outside of a barbershop and convenience store at the corner.
The victim, a male in his 20’s, was transported to a hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
One area resident said it sounded like fireworks and that the last two shots were very loud.
"(We're) going to be talking to people in the vicinity when it happened, knocking on some doors to see if anybody saw anything and looking for cameras in businesses and residents hoping we can pick up something," said IMPD Capt. Michael Elder.
Police yellow evidence markers covered as many as 17 shell casings around the crime scene,
Metro police have not shared any information about a suspect or motive.
