INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist on the northwest side of Indianapolis Friday evening.
The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. May 24 on Michigan Road, just south of West 86th Street. According to IMPD, officers arrived on the scene to learn an SUV and motorcycle collided.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but that person later died from their injuries.
On May 27, the Marion County Coroner's Office identified the motorcyclist as 20-year-old Jaylen Thomas Crowder.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and is reportedly cooperating with investigators. The driver was not injured in the crash, police said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
