INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The man police say set several fire around Indianapolis made an initial hearing in court Friday.

David Bradshaw heard a long list of formal charges.

The Indianapolis man police describe as homeless stayed quiet as deputies escorted him to and from court.

Bradshaw reportedly confessed to setting fires at homes on Indy’s old north side starting back in 2014.

The latest fires happened July 2.

Jail records show he faces 23 counts of arson and 3 counts of felony criminal recklessness.

The judge entered a preliminary not guilty plea for Bradshaw and set trial for September.

He has a $160,000 dollar bond.
