INDIANAPOLIS — A central Indiana health department is offering free HIV and STI testing as a part of the World AIDS Day.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, the Ryan White HIV Services Program at the Marion County Public Health Department is providing the free testing from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Public Library's Central Branch, 40 East St. Clair St.

Other community organizations are partnering for this free event to include visual arts, live performances and education to help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.

The testing will be held in one of MCPHD's mobile units as part of a resource fair featuring 21 healthcare organizations with additional information on STIs.

A highlight of the day will be the opening of the #CelebrateUU Art Campaign, featuring 25 personal stories of Hoosiers living with HIV.

The display will be open until Dec. 29.
