KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. Jan. 20, Kokomo Police Department officers were called to the intersection of State Road 931 and East North Street for a report of the crash.

At the scene, officers located a 35-year-old Kokomo man unconscious in his car. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

A preliminary investigation indicated the man was driving a black GMC SUV southbound on State Road 931 when he drove off the east side of the road and struck a guardrail, according to police.
