INDIANAPOLIS — A popular Hoosier holiday tradition is returning to downtown Indianapolis.
The Eiteljorg Museum is hosting its 14th annual "Jingle Rails: The Great Western Adventure," running from Nov. 18, 2023 through Jan. 15, 2024.
Jingle Rails gives visitors a unique experience with festive sights and sounds.
With more than 1,200 feet of track, the model railroad features a network of trains and scenes of Indy and America's west. The entire display was designed and built by artists, architects and landscape designers at Applied Imagination in Kentucky.
“This season, we are excited to offer extended evening hours on select dates in December so more guests can attend and experience this wonderful holiday attraction, which entertains and fascinates our youngest and oldest visitors alike," Kathryn Haigh, Eiteljorg president and CEO, said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming back returning visitors and meeting new ones at what has become one of Indianapolis’ most beloved holiday attractions.”
The railroad display will be open late for eight days from Dec. 16 to Dec. 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The museum is offering $2 discount tickets online before the event starts. To claim your discounted ticket, click here.
The Eiteljorg Museum, including Jingle Rails, will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Regular hours will resume Jan. 2, 2024.
