INDIANAPOLIS — State Senate Minority Leader Greg Taylor has been voted out of his leadership position at the Indiana Statehouse.
In a release Wednesday evening, Indiana Senate Democrats thanked Taylor (D-Indianapolis) for his leadership. Taylor had served as Senate minority leader since 2020.
The announcement comes just a day after Taylor was accused of additional acts of sexual misconduct. According to the IndyStar, a total of six women have now come forward over the last two months, accusing Taylor of sexual harassment.
Last month, top Democrats in the Indiana Senate addressed criticism over Taylor's re-election as minority leader, saying the caucus didn't have the full scope of information at the time of the vote.
Taylor has responded to the latest sexual misconduct allegations, denying their credibility, but said of the original allegations that there may have bene times when he blurred the lines and behaved in a manner that made his colleagues uncomfortable.
Sen. Shelli Yoder (D-Bloomington) has been chosen by Senate Democrats to replace Taylor as Senate minority leader.

Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) issued a statement Wednesday evening following the announcement.
"Our counterparts in the Senate Minority have traditionally added value to the legislative process, and I expect that trend to continue. I look forward to working with Sen. Yoder in her new leadership position as we work to improve our state for all Hoosiers," Bray wrote.
13News has reached out to Taylor and his team for comment on his removal as minority leader, but have not yet heard back.
