KOKOMO, Ind. (WTHR) – A house fire in Kokomo Saturday afternoon resulted in the death of one person and injured another.
The Kokomo Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire in the 1800 block of Lafountain Street around 5 p.m.
The coroner reports a tentative identification for the victim as 49-year-old Kevin Andre Jackson.
The woman injured in the fire was taken to a hospital in Indianapolis for treatment.
Frazier said two people tried to rescue the two inside the house and were treated at the scene by medics and released.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
