MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — Four people were injured in a crash Friday night that left one vehicle dangling over the White River.
The crash happened around 9 p.m. on State Road 144 north of Waverly in Morgan County. A pick-up truck struck an SUV on the bridge over the White River, knocking the SUV onto the guardrail with its rear wheels hanging over the river.
Victims of the head-on crash were trapped in both vehicles, firefighters said.
The victims were extricated and taken to area hospitals, all in serious condition. An air ambulance flew one of the victims from the scene of the crash.
There is no update on their conditions at this time.
