CARMEL, Ind. — Construction at Carmel High School on the $16 million Greyhound Activities Center is making progress.
Marching Band and Winter Guard students will use the activities center, which will be next to the stadium.
The district said — with more than 5,000 students and more than 150 athletics, clubs and extracurriculars — the Greyhound Activities Center well be well-loved and well-utilized.
The $16 million building is paid for by bonds. The original $9.5 million price increased after "a competitive bidding process, final design, and some inflation since 2022."
"We are proud of the opportunities we provide students and believe it is important to have facilities that support our programmatic needs. With more than 5,000 students, dozens of academic programs, and over 150 athletics, clubs, and extracurriculars, the Greyhound Activity Center will be a well-loved and well-utilized addition." — Carmel Athletics
The activities center is set to be finished in October.
The natatorium, which is also undergoing renovations and a new pool, is set to be completed by the end of the year.
