Meteorologist Angela Buchman joined the SkyTrak 13 Weather Team in September 2013.
She is a 1990 graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School. From Hamilton County, she went to Indiana University to pursue a degree in Business. This wasn't her passion. The weather is her passion. At the urging of her parents, she called Chuck Lofton who advised her to change her major. She did and graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Atmospheric Science.
While in college, Angela worked at the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. Her first TV assignment was at WLFI-TV 18 in West Lafayette, Indiana. From there, she spent four years forecasting the weather in Sacramento, California.
She returned home to central Indiana in 2001 and her forecasting has earned her five Emmy awards.
Angela and her husband Mark have two children, Luke and Grace. She loves them, central Indiana and the weather.
