LEBANON, — Seven people were taken to local hospitals after a jail transport van was involved in a crash in Lebanon Friday morning.
The crash was reported around 9:45 a.m. May 24 near the intersection of Indianapolis Avenue and West Noble Street.
A spokesperson with the Boone County Sheriff's Office told 13News a preliminary investigation indicated a sheriff's office transport van was going north on Indianapolis Avenue when it was T-boned by a car going west on Noble Street.
The jail transport driver, three Boone County Jail inmates – two men and one woman – and three women in the other car were taken to local hospitals and described as "stable" by the Lebanon Police Department.
The Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team is now investigating the incident.
