INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Indy Fuel held their teddy bear toss Saturday night.
The Fuel saw 4,500 fans brave the weather for Saturday night's game and annual teddy bear toss. The tradition calls on fans to bring teddy bears, and throw them onto the ice after the home team scores its first goal.
The team then distributes the animals to local hospitals, charities, shelters and other organizations, giving local children and families gifts that they might not have been able to afford otherwise.
