MADISON COUNTY (WTHR) - Three people were hurt when two cars crashed Saturday morning east of Pendleton.
A PT Cruiser was driving westbound on US 36 when a Jeep pulled in front of it around 11:40 a.m.
Police say Mary Thompson of Pendleton was ejected from her car and got trapped underneath it until emergency workers could help get her out. She was taken to IU Health-Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with one, possibly two broken legs and cuts to her head.
Thompson's passenger, Stephanie Howell of Pendleton, was also taken to Methodist with a collapsed lung.
The Jeep driver, Maren Westerfield of Anderson, went to an Anderson hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
