INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Two central Indiana athletes came up short in their bid for a trip to the "American Ninja Warrior" national finals.

Decatur Middle School's "Lunch Lady Ninja" Amanda O'Dell fell on the second obstacle during her run on Monday night's Cincinnati city finals.

Jonathan Cooley, an auto factory worker from Indianapolis, was on the verge of qualifying, but fell at the end of the "Slingshot" obstacle, ending his hopes of reaching next week's finals in Las Vegas.

The finals air next Monday at 8 p.m. on Channel 13.
