INDIANAPOLIS — One person was killed in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis early Thursday.
The shooting occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the 4100 block of Brentwood Drive, just east of the intersection of East 42nd Street and North Post Road.
The Marion County Coroner's office identified the victim as 23-year-old Shawn Hicks, Jr.
The investigation is ongoing.
