Coroner identifies man and infant killed in double homicide

The coroner's office identified the victims as 37-year-old William Wilson Jr., and 3-month-old Kahdor Wilson.

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – The coroner's office identified a man and an infant killed Saturday in a double homicide. The victims were identified as 37-year-old William Wilson Jr. and 3-month-old Kahdor Wilson.

IMPD have arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in the homicide.

Just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting near East 23rd Street and Guilford Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found three people shot inside the home.

Police arrested 36-year-old Ivory Smith, the girlfriend of the deceased, for her alleged involvement in the double homicide.

She told police that she and her boyfriend had been arguing about an altercation the two had the day before. Smith told investigators that when her boyfriend came at her, she grabbed a gun and shot him several times. He ran from the room and she went after him, thinking he had run to his mother's room. Smith then fired shots into the mother's room hitting the mother and the baby.

She stopped firing when the gun ran out of bullets and called 911. She then went down the stairs, passing her wounded boyfriend and didn't help him. Her boyfriend and the baby died from their injuries.

13 Investigates looked into Smith's criminal history:

  • 2010: Public Intoxication
  • 2011: Battery, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, Resisting Law Enforcement
  • 2016: Battery By Bodily Waste, Battery
