INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a 4-year-old boy was shot on the city's east side Saturday.
It happened just before 8 p.m. at an apartment complex at 6000 E. 21st St. near the intersection of 21st and North Arlington Avenue.
Police said the boy was in stable condition when he was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive.
His father has been arrested and faces a neglect charge. Police said the gun was not secure inside the apartment.
