INDIANAPOLIS — McNugget lovers will have the chance for a free order this week, thanks to a one-day promotion from McDonald's.
On Wednesday, May 22, the fast food chain will offer one free six-piece order per person at participating locations.
The deal will be available through McDonald's mobile app, and no minimum purchase is required.
The chain said the offer is "the first of many deals McDonald's has in store for fans this summer season."
McDonald’s plans to introduce a $5 meal deal in the U.S. next month to counter slowing sales and customers’ frustration with high prices, the Associated Press reports.
The deal would let customers get a four-piece McNugget, small fries, a small drink and either a McDouble burger or a McChicken sandwich for $5 in most areas, a person familiar with the deal who wasn’t authorized to discuss its details told the AP.
The month-long deal is scheduled to begin June 25 and will be advertised nationally. Some stores with higher costs, like those in California or Hawaii, may charge more, the person said.
